Sony

Christina Magleby: I have ot admit, when my husband mentioned buying the TV on here, i was a little apprehensive, well VERY apprehensive. But then we looked over it, whit white glove shipping, and then of course the price and we couldnt pass it up! :) and i have been so pleased with it! Its amazing the quality! we havent used the monster cables with it as i read on a couple reviews here that it wasnt that big of a dieerence for that much of a price for the cables.

However we did use an HDMI cable and at first we couldnt get it to work (because of us, not the Tv, lol, we had it plugged into the wrong one, duh!) and once we got it to work, WOW that quality is jsut amazing! very rarely when its a really dark scene (usually with oilder movies on TV) is seems like the faces are kinda floaty, like you can see them moving, i dont know how to explain it. but its very rarely, that is why we rated it 4 rather than 5 stars. all in all we are EXTREMELY pleased with it. As far as a warranty goes, we ended up getting one through Sony directly, and an very pleased with that decision as well, but you have to make sure to do it within the first month of purchase :)

Filed Under (About Plasma TV, Plasma TV, Reviews) by Richard on 29-05-2008

There are some things contained in plasma TV reviews that may be meaningless to the average television viewer, but overall some of the aspects of the set’s performance should be important to everyone. Review: Panasonic TH-50PZ700U 50-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

Filed Under (About Plasma TV, Panasonic, Plasma TV, Reviews) by Richard on 29-05-2008

Outstanding Performance
The unit has 4096 shades of gradation and has up to a 5000:1 contrast ratio. Video noise reduction circuitry and a digital comb filter make sure the picture on screen is always optimal. The TH-50PZ700U will upconvert any signal you feed it and display it at 1080p. The TH-50PZ700U is 1080p, meaning it has a full 1920 x 1080 resolution, the highest HD resolution available for the clearest and sharpest picture. Because of its plasma display, the black levels are deep and the uniformity of brightness is superb.

An Understated Beauty
The TH-50PZ700U does not look like it’s trying too hard. Instead, it lets the big screen speak for itself. The glass is surrounded by a thick glossy black bezel on all sides, with a door on the bottom to keep controls out of sight. Another hatch hides a slot for SD memory cards. Speakers–matching in color and barely noticeable–are set on both sides of the display. The understated look would be an elegant addition to any decor.

More about Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Filed Under (About Plasma TV, Plasma TV, Reviews, Sony) by Richard on 29-05-2008

After paying a visit to the local brick and mortar stores I found little comfort in their expertise and certainly no comparison in the PURCHASE PRICE. Add to the total the 8.25% sales tax in our community (roughly $200 more) and another $75 deliver fee and Amazon became a no brainer.

Like virtually everyone else I mentally suffered over whether or not to buy this particular MODEL and whether I should buy it “on-line.” The thought of purchasing something this expensive without a “store-front” that I could run to and secure help seemed terrifying.

A Philips Plasma TV Provides Hours Of Entertainment

Filed Under (Philips, Reviews) by Richard on 25-05-2008

There is a great demand for plasma television sets, and a Philips plasma TV is quality for a reasonable price. The Philips line of plasma television systems has been most successful because of the superior quality of this equipment. Walk into any television store and you will find plasma television sets lined up with some of the other new models. This lineup gives each customer an opportunity to compare while they shop. A Philips plasma TV shines when placed against much of the stiff competition. Most shoppers go back several times to make these comparisons before they spend their money on a model.
